MOBILE SATELLITE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND TRANSMISSION POWER CONTROL METHOD IN THE SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To realize transmission power control with higher accuracy by obtaining a measurement error for a total measurement time tk longer than respective actually measured times Tk so as to decrease a measurement error. CONSTITUTION: Transmission power of a base station 1 is accurately controlled by obtaining a mean reception level in a mobile station 2 with high accuracy. The mobile station 2 measures a mean reception level Qk (step SP2) for a predetermined period and reports an actually measured time Tk in the mean reception level Qk to the base station 1 (SP 3). The base station 1 calculates the total measurement time tk being the total sum of the actually measured time (SP 16), a correction mean reception level Rk corresponding to the mean reception level for the total measurement time (SP 18) and a measurement errorΔDk (SP 17) and controls the transmission power based on them (SP 21).
