PURPOSE: To easily vary characteristics of an effect adding circuit in synchronism with a musical performance by providing a control means which generate a control signal to an effect adding means in synchronism with the automatic musical performance of an automatic playing means. CONSTITUTION: This automatic playing device consists of a ROM 2 which stores a program and musical performance information, a central processing unit CPU 1 and a work area for controlling the whole automatic playing device according to the control program stored in the ROM 2, a RAM 3 as a buffer for storing the musical performance information, etc. Then the CPU 1 generates generates the control signal to a digital signal processor(DSP) 11 as the effect adding circuit which adds effects to an externally inputted signal in synchronism with the output of the DSP 11 and the automatic musical performance of the automatic playing means. Therefore, this device can automatically play an accompaniment, etc., and add effects changeable in characteristics in synchronism with the automatic musical performance alone. Further, control information of the DSP 11 can easily be added to optional musical performance information. |
