<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a good charge control function and raise thermal stability by applying the constitution that a toner composition is made to contain a specific charge control agent and a polymeric binder. SOLUTION: A toner composition is made to contain a charge control agent including a quaternary N-[3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxybenzoyloxy)alkyl] ammonium salt or a quaternary N-[3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxybenzoyloxy)aryl] ammonium salt expressed by the formula, where R1 and R2 stand for a tertiary alkyl group having carbon atoms between 4 and 8, R3 for alkyl, aryl or aralkyl, R4 for alkyl, aryl and aralkyl, R5 for alkyl, aryl or aralkyl, X for (CH2 )n or allylene, Z<-> for anion, and (n) for an integer between 2 and 6. In addition, the toner is composed to contain a charge control agent selected from the salt in the formula as well as a polymeric binder.</p> |
