<p>PURPOSE: To obtain an electrostatic toner excellent in releasability at the time of low energy fixation, blocking resistance and fixability by using a specified oxidation modified olefin polymer as polyolefin added to an electrostatic toner. CONSTITUTION: This developer contains oxidation-modified polyolefin wax (A) having units of propylene or 1-butene as the principal constituent units of the molecular skeleton, 0.1-6mgKOH/g acid value and a number average mol.wt. (Mn) of 1,000-20,000, a binder (B) and a colorant (C). The polyolefin wax (A) is preferable because it gives the heat fixable electrophotographic developer having satisfactory fixability, blocking resistance, anti-offsetting property and property of preventing the contamination of a fixing roll, etc., by blending with a toner. The binder (B) is not especially limited if it is made of a thermoplastic resin used in such a developer. The colorant (C) is not especially limited if it is a colorant used in such a developer.</p> |
