PURPOSE: To provide a fluorescent lamp lighting device capable of surely lighting a fluorescent lamp without using a trigger diode. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a series body composed of a resonance capacitor 7, a fluorescent lamp 8, an inductance element 10, a transformer current transformer 11, and a FET 6 having control and earth terminals; and a smoothing capacitor 4 connected to both the ends of the series body. The series body is formed of the secondary coil 11C of the transformer 11 and a trigger capacitor 14. One end of the coil 11C and that of the capacitor 14 are connected to the gate terminal of the FET 6 and the source terminal of the FET 6 respectively. Constant voltage diodes 17 and 18 are opposedly connected between both the ends of the coil 11C, and resistors 13 and 12 are connected between the middle point, between the diodes 17 and 18, and the connecting point, between the trigger capacitor 14 and the source terminal of the FET 6, and between the gate and drain of the FET 6, respectively; and a trigger diode is not used. |
