PURPOSE: To prevent trouble from given to surrounding persons by inhibiting a notice operation even when a call signal is received after a calling notice is conducted continuously for a prescribed time so as to avoid useless notice. CONSTITUTION: When a notice operation by a speaker 10 and an LED 13 caused at the reception of a call signal is not stopped by the operation of a reset key of a key entry section 7 but continues for a prescribed time, the D/D mode is automatically transited and the notice operation afterward is inhibited. Thus, when the user is resident at a remote location, no useless notice is made to prevent consumption of the battery and trouble given onto surrounding persons by sound output from the speaker 10 is avoided. The transition to the D/D mode is informed by indicating the fact by a display section 16. In the case of the D/D mode, the mode is released through the operation of the reset key and the indication of the display section 16 is erased. Furthermore, since a notice tone different from the usual call reception state is sounded for picture period in the call reception in the D/D mode, the user recognizes the transition to the D/D mode. |
