PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce final running cost of an electric generator using a catalyst showing its superior activity to steam reformation of methane by specifying the catalyst in a molten carbonate type high-temperature fuel cell carrying a reforming catalyst of a fuel containing hydrocarbon on a support body. SOLUTION: In a formula a Feitnecht compound shown by Mex <2+> Mey <3+> (OH<-> )2x+3y+2z (A<2-> )z nH2 O [wherein Mex <2+> is substantially fully Ni<2+> , Mey <3+> is substantially fully Al<3+> or substantially fully Al<3+> and Cr<3+> ; A<2-> is one divalent negative ion or two monovalent negative ion; z/y is 1.5 to 4/1:z/(x+y) is 0.05 to 0.2; n/(x+y) is 0.25 to 1.0], a non-calcined alumino silicate clay mineral (example; kaoline), an alkali earth and/or rare earth compounds, an arbitrary one or more stabilizers for reducing loss of a kind of silicate containing an alkali metal compound are equalized and mixed, after which a catalytic precursor obtained by sintering this mixture is reduced and generated as a catalyst. |
