PURPOSE: To obtain an oxygen sensor element in which a heater having long service life and heating an element efficiently is built in the element surely. CONSTITUTION: A ceramic heater 5 comprising a ceramic core having an outer air conduction hole (hollow part 5a), a ceramic coating layer applied thereon and a heating element arranged therebetween is built in an element S. A stopper metal 6 is fitted coaxially over the ceramic heater 5 and then fitted in the opening of the element S such that the axis of the ceramic heater 5 is aligned with that of the element S. The stop metal 6 is conducted with the inner electrode 2 of the element. |
