摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To improve the reliability for such as impact resistance and moisture resistance by coating plural driving circuits with a protective film of insulating org. resin for every circuit and forming a molding material continuously covering these protective films in the peripheral part of substrate. CONSTITUTION: Thin-film transistors(TFTs) 4 and pixel electrodes 5 to be switched by these TFTs are formed into a matrix form at the intersected points of data lines 2 and timing lines 3 on a transparent substrate 1. Data line driving circuits 6 and timing line driving circuits 7 are simultaneously formed in the peripheries. After the entire surface is coated with the insulating org. resin of polyimide, etc., by spin coating, etc., the resin is patterned to form the protective film 12 of the driving circuits 6, 7. Next, a common electrode 9 is formed on the transparent substrate 8 over the entire part thereof and a light shielding layer 10 is formed in the matrix form thereon. A pair of such transparent substrates 1, 8 are sealed with a sealing material 11 and after liquid crystal 14 is enclosed therebetween, the molding material 13 of silicone resin, etc., continuously covering the protective film 12 is formed.</p>
