PURPOSE: To efficiently heat the photosensitive layer of an electrophotographic photoreceptor so that photosensitive characteristics can be rapidly obtd. CONSTITUTION: An org. photosensitive layer (OPC) is formed by successively forming a conductive layer I, charge producing layer II and charge transfer layer III around a transparent base body 100 of a photosensitive drum 10. On the other hand, a transparent heat generating layer IV is formed on the inner surface of the base body. The heat generating layer IV is energized while the photosensitive drum 10 is rotated before formation of an image is started or during formation of an image is interrupted, so that the transparent base body 100 can be efficiently and uniformly heated all over the area. Thus, the temp. of the photosensitive layer on the outer surface of the drum can be rapidly and uniformly raised to a specified temp. |
