The cancellation head consists of a circular housing containing serrated wheels (6-8) across the housing's lengthwise axis. One of the wheels (6) acts as a printing head for variable information, e.g. data and time, and another (8) forms an index wheel for changing the information. The index wheel is situated at one end of the housing, while the other end has a rotary drive. The intermediate serrated wheel (7) is located between the other two (6,8) and transmits a rotary movement from the index wheel to the printing head wheel to change the information on it.
