A number of sensors (10-18) are used to capture vital or physiological data from a patient which are recorded and memorised (22,21) under the control of a computer (20) and clock (23). Groups of parameters may then be displayed in correct time relationship to each other. Some of the sensors and their associated recorders and clock may be made portable. The parameters recorded include electroencephalograph data, electrocardiograph data, blood pressure, respiratory data temperatures, eye pressure, blood pressure in a lower member and blood pressure in sexual organs.
