发明名称 CONTROL APPARATUS OF RAIL BRAKE
摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a control apparatus by which the stop distance of an emergency brake is made short by a method wherein a rail brake is actuated immediately when a rail attraction-type eddy-current braking device comes into contact with a rail face. CONSTITUTION: Simultaneously with a brake actuation instruction, an AC voltage of very small electric power is applied from an AC power supply to an exciting coil for an electromagnet. The current which flows in the exciting coil is measured. When its current value is lower than a prescribed set value, i.e., a current value which flows when a brake shoe for a rail attraction-type eddy-current braking device 6 comes into contact with a rail face, the AC power supply is cut off. Then, a connecting switch 14 is turned on, an exciting current is supplied to the exciting coil from a DC power supply 13, and an electromagnetic brake is actuated. Thereby, nearly simultaneously with a time when the brake shoe comes into contact with the rail face, an electromagnetic braking force can be generated. The idle running time until the braking force is generated since the brake actuation instruction has been issued and an idle running distance are made short, and the substantial efficiency of the electromagnetic braking force can be made good.
