PURPOSE: To obtain a photosensitive resin compsn. for printing plate which has good image reproducibility, can be developed with water and is adaptable to a water-based ink by combining each specified amt. of anionic groups and cationic groups. CONSTITUTION: This photosensitive resin compsn. contains anionic groups and cationic groups and it contains >=0.15 mole/kg anionic groups, >=0.15 mole/kg cationic groups and polymers containing cationic groups and having >=1000 number average mol.wt. The anionic groups mean such functional groups that have anions or produce anions by dissociation. For example, they are carboxyl groups, sulfonate groups, phenol-type hydroxyl groups, phosphate group and derivs. of these, and carboxyl groups are preferable. The cationic groups means groups which produce cations by addition of protons or functional groups having cations. Cationic groups except for metal ion and ammonia are preferably used and amino groups are preferable. |
