PURPOSE: To prevent a deterioration in an image caused by a tailing edge void, in an image forming device adopting coating with a lubricant. CONSTITUTION: The image forming device is provided with a developing means (not shown by the figure) developing a latent image on a photoreceptor 101, a cleaning brush 102 cleaning the surface of the photoreceptor 101, a coating means (the cleaning brush 102 and a flicker roller 105) for coating the surface of the photoreceptor 101 with the lubricant 104, an image forming means (not shown by the figure) for forming a toner image with a prescribed density and a surface part on the photoreceptor 101, a photosensor 110 for detecting the density of the toner image and surface part formed by the image forming means and a CPU 116 controlling the photosensor 110, to detect the density of the toner image and the surface part several times and the quantity of the coated lubricant by the coating means (the cleaning brush 102 and the flicker roller 105), based on the result of the detection. |
