PURPOSE: To fast shift the data with use of a shifter of a small circuit scale by changing the bit array order and shifting the data having its changed bit array order by a prescribed number of bits by using the shifter. CONSTITUTION: The signals An-2 ,0 , An-1 ,0 , An0 , An+1 ,0 , An+2 ,0 ... which are inputted a 1-byte shifter 300 show the 0-th bits of every part of byte units of the unshifted input data. Then the signals An-2 ,1 , An-1 ,1 , An ,1 , An+1 ,1 , An+2 ,1 ... show the 1st bit signals, and he signals Yn-2 ,1 , Yn-1 ,0 ... Yn+1 ,1 , Yn+2 ,1 ... show the shifted data respectively. In such a way, the data are arranged in every bit data of the same bit order in every byte and then inputted to a shift circuit. As a result, a p-byte shift is substantially equal to a p-bit shift and then the wiring length and the wiring area can be reduced down to 1/8. This big reduction of both wiring length and area can contribute to the fast transmission of signals. |
