PURPOSE: To increase an information transfer speed of a magnetic storage device by placing a 1st and a 2nd memory group in operation alternately through a switching means with an external communication means or magnetic disk communication means, and making the memory groups operate in parallel. CONSTITUTION: To make operation ready between a 1st memory group 10 consisting of six memories 21-26 and an external communication means 2 which communicates information to the outside, operation between a 2nd memory group 11 consisting of six memories 31-36 and respective magnetic communication means 4-9 is made ready. To make operation ready between the 2nd memory group 11 and external communication means 2 through the switching means 12 consisting of six switches 41-46, operation is made ready between the 1st memory group 10 and respective disk communication means 4-9 and those memory groups 10 and 11 are placed in parallel operation. Consequently, writing to and reading from a disk are made fast in speed. |
