<p>PURPOSE: To dissolve such problems as uneven potential distribution on wirings of electronic emission part in matrix wiring mainly applied to a picture display device, variation of electronic emission efficiency depending on picture element, spars luminance of a picture due to current flow into unselected element, and uneven electronic emission of a single element due to a displayed pattern. CONSTITUTION: Reactive element current flowing in an unselected element is measured by current monitor circuit 115 beforehand. In the case of displaying a picture, a constant current outputted to each column wiring is decided by adding the current outputted to the selected element to the reactive element current and is outputted to each column wiring by using V/I converter 112. In the case of displaying a picture, the electronic-emission efficiency is measured by the current monitor 115 beforehand and then the constant-current to each wiring is decided by being compensated with the electronic-emission efficiency. In the case of displaying a picture, the voltage on each column wiring is always measured and fed back by flowing the constant current into each column wiring. The voltage across selected elements is maintained constant by adjusting the constant-current for each feedback.</p> |
