PURPOSE:To suppress the production of dross without degrading the passing through characteristic of a steel strip and to obtain a superior plated steel plate by using an aluminum plating bath of prescribed temp. or below, and providing a heater to the part of a snout to be dipped into the plating bath. CONSTITUTION:A steel strip 1 is heated in a nonoxidative furnace 3, whereby combustible materials such as fats and oils are burned away. Following to this, the surfaces are activated by a reducing atmosphere in a reducing furnace 4, after which it is put into a cooling furnace 5. Here, the strip 1 is controlled to the temp. adequate for plating, and is dipped in an aluminum plating bath 8 controlled to <=650 deg.C without contacting with air, through a snout 6. At this temp., the plating bath 8 suppresses the production of dross and the growth of alloy layers considerably. An electric element 9 is provided in the part of the snout 6 to be dipped into the plating bath to heat the bath 8 near the snout 6, whereby the degradation in the passing through characteristic of the steel strip is prevented. |
