The conveyor is composed of several plastic links (1) having a central elongated structure (2). One each side are parallel and spaced ends drilled with a hole (6) for the passage of a pivoting rod (12). The central structure is drilled with openings (3) which engage the teeth of chain driving gears. Each opening is framed by vertical ribs (5) with rounded middle (7) and ends set back to correspond with the set back ends of the link. This rounding is less than double the thickness of each rib and the rib walls forming extensions of the opening walls (8,9). On the two sides of the central elongated structure and in the spaces (10) between each link end pair (4) are smooth inclined walls (11) which contribute to the flow of the dirt on the belt. Plugs (12) having a head (14) with a transverse open extension (15) and a short neck (16) fit the ends of the pivoting rods.
