PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for displaying the estimated total printing time of a job in a developed state. SOLUTION: A job is selectively programmed with a plurality of selected printing-related attributes which exert influences on the printing time of the job. A device for estimating total printing time of the job incorporates a user interface having a display screen, memory for storing picture data and printing- related attributes, and processor which generates the value of the estimated printing time on each electronic page based on the selected attributes which exert influencees on the printing time of the job, and are programmed at the programming time. The processor finds the estimated total printing time by summing the values generated by generating the estimated printing time and displays the estimated total printing time on the display screen. |
