<p>PURPOSE: To suppress the system oscillation of a power system and to improve the transmission capacity of the system by controlling a semiconductor switch in response to the power state of the system. CONSTITUTION: In a power system in which a power plant 10, a load 40 and other power transmission equipment are organically coupled via transmission lines 31, 32 and composed, an energy control type power system stabilizer having a semiconductor switch at the transmission end of the plant 10 connected via the lines 31, 32 is installed in parallel with the lines 31, 32. The rotatable acceleration or deceleration state of the generator 10 is detected by an acceleration or deceleration detector 102, and the stabilizer 50 is controlled. Thus, the system oscillation of the system can be suppressed, and the normal time transmission power can be transmitted to the full thermal capacities of the lines 31, 32.</p> |
