PURPOSE: To improve electric conductivity by using, as electrolytic solution, mixed solvent of chain carbonate and ethylene carbonate with quaternary ammonium salt solved. CONSTITUTION: A mixed solvent of chain carbonate and ethylene carbonate with quaternary ammonium salt solved is used as electrolytic solution, and an electric double layer formed at an interface between the electrolytic solution and a polarized electrode is utilized in a capacitor. The chain carbonate may be dimethyl carbonate, ethymethyl carbonate and diethyl carbonate, while the ethylene carbonate is solid at a normal temperature having a high dielectric constant. The mixed solvent comprises 10 to 60wt.% of chain carbonate and 90 to 40wt.% of ethylene carbonate, while the quaternary ammonium salt may be tetraethyl ammonium borofluoride, tetraethyl ammonium phosphofluoride, etc. |
