PURPOSE: To provide an article sales registration data processor capable of quickly and exactly restoring the data stored in an HDD to the state before power interruption when the data is restarted and easy in operability. CONSTITUTION: This processor is provided with a storage area 24HIA of an index 23HI for HDD file in an HDD 24, writing control means (21, 22) and reconstruction control means (21, 22). At the time of a start, the index 23HI for HDD file constructed on a RAM 23 is automatically written and stored in a storage area 24HIA. At the time of the restart after power interruption the index 23HI for HDD file before power interruption can automatically be reconstructed on the RAM 23. |
