PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve expansion method and device to function so as to decode/ expand plural different encoded input signals. SOLUTION: A multi-standard video decoding device is connected by two- wiring interfaces 31, 42 and has plural processing stages 36 arranged as a pipeline processor. A control token and a data token are transmitted through the interfaces 31, 42 so as to transmit both of control and data in a token format. A token decoding circuit 33 is arranged on a specific stage so as to recognize a specific token as a control token inherent in the specific stage and send an unrecognized control token along a pipeline. A reconfiguration processing circuit is arranged on a selected stage, reconfigures the stage in response to the recognized control token and handles an identified data token. |
