PURPOSE: To avoid influences of ionic impurities in a liquid crystal panel and to improve the display quality of a liquid crystal panel. CONSTITUTION: This device consists of a pair of substrates 1 each having an electrode 2, a liquid crystal layer 4 held between the substrates 1, a polyimide orienting film set near the one side of the substrate 1 and in contact with the one side surface of the liquid crystal layer 4, and a polyvinylcarbazol film 3 set near the other side of the substrate 1 and in contact with the other side surface of the liquid crystal layer 4. |
