PURPOSE: To automatically fetch facsimile data and transfer it to a prescribed transfer destination, and besides, to attain the security protection of the facsimile data in a system capable of transferring the facsimile data to a computer network. CONSTITUTION: The facsimile data is fetched through a facsimile interface 13, and address information and transfer destination information in that data are detected by collating them with a data base 11. Besides, the fetched facsimile data is transformed into data form capable of being displayed on a display device, and this transformed facsimile data is transferred to the detected transfer destination. In the case where there are plural transfer destinations, only detected transferring origin information is then transferred to each of them, and in the case where there is no corresponding transfer destination, a transmitting origin is informed of this purport. |
