PURPOSE: To obtain a display device which obviates the occurrence of unequal colors with pressing force at the time of input, is thin and light by composing a display surface side substrate and a rear surface substrate of a common substrate and using a liquid crystal material contg. ferroelectric high-polymer liquid crystals as a liquid crystal material. CONSTITUTION: Electrode patterns 6 for a touch panel and electrode patterns 7 for a liquid crystal display panel are respectively formed on the display surface side substrate of the touch panel 12 and the rear surface side substrate 3 of the liquid crystal display panel 13. The electrode patterns 7 are formed on one surface of the common substrate 2 and the electrode patterns 6 on another one surface thereof. The ferroelectric high-polymer liquid crystal material 9 is thereafter applied on the electrode patterns 7 so as to correspond to the inner side of a sealing material 8 and thereafter, the solvent is evaporated. The common substrate 2 and the rear surface side substrate 3 are positioned and stuck to each other in such a manner that the electrode patterns 7 face each other and that the formation of the liquid crystal material 9 on the inner side of the sealing material 8 is made possible. The sealing material 8 is cured by irradiation with UV rays. |
