A cut ring, a loose flange, an outer locating surface (8) on the cut ring for the flange, an inner all-round groove (4) in the cut ring for receiving a conically widened pipe end (2), front radial limiting surface (5) of the groove and a rear limiting surface (6) of the groove forming a cutting edge (7) are provided.
