<p>A hydrostatic heating apparatus comprises an enclosed chamber (100) which is open to atmospheric pressure and contains the hydrostatic liquid. The enclosed chamber (100) has a product inlet opening (20) and a product outlet opening (30) and also has a heating zone (40) positioned between the product inlet opening (20) and the product outlet opening (30). The apparatus has a transporting device such as a conveyor (95) positioned in the enclosed chamber which extends through the heating zone for transporting the particulate product in the liquid from the product inlet opening through the heating zone to the product outlet opening. The apparatus maintains the particulate product in the liquid under hydrostatic pressure in the heating zone.</p> |
