Vacuum braking power intensifier for motor vehicle braking system with housing

The power intensifier includes a working piston (10) which is connected with the moving wall (4,5) and transmits a braking force, and which based on a pressure difference between the constant pressure chamber (6,8) and the variable pressure chamber (7,9) is axially moved. An input component (12) is fitted in the piston and connected with the brake operating unit (11), so that with the reception of the force it is moved axially. A plunger piston (19) is connected with the input component, so that it moves axially. A valve (25) is connected with the plunger piston for controlling the braking power. So that whilst the valve engages with the plunger piston, the variable pressure chamber stands in fluid communication with the constant pressure chamber. Also whilst the valve is out of engagement with the plunger piston, the variable pressure chamber is in fluid communication with the atmosphere. A solenoid (17) moves the plunger piston away from the valve, with the reception of electric current. A unit preventing the oblique positioning of the input component has multi-projections (12a) spread at the periphery projecting outwards from the input component. Corresp. slots are designed in the plunger piston for accepting these projections.
