PURPOSE:To accumulate solar heat effectively by a method wherein a heat accumulation tank connected to a solar heat collector is formed of an aggregate of a number of heat accumulating units in which a heat accumulating material fusible with high temperature air is sealed. CONSTITUTION:A small cylinder 3 is arranged vertically within the central part of a canister 1 which is sealed airtight with an upper cover 2 and a lower cover 2' on both upper and lower ends thereof, respectively, and a coil 4 is wound around the small cylinder 3. In this case, both ends of the coil 4 are made to project from the upper and lower ends of the canister, respectively. Further, the heat accumulating material which is fusible with the heat collected by the heat collector is sealed in the small cylinder 3 to thereby form the heat accumulating unit. Then a plurality of such heat accumulating units, for example, four of such units laid vertically in double layers, are assembled to form a heat accumulating tank unit and a plurality of such tank units are connected together in series to thereby constitute a desired heat accumulating equipment. With the above structure, when solar heat is accumulated, high temperature air is introduced into the small cylinder 3 of each of the heat accumulating units and the heat accumulated in the cylinder 3 is released to water flowing through the coil 4 around the cylinder 3 so that the water heated by the accumulated heat is used for room heating in winter. |
