PURPOSE:To enable to form the flame with favorable pattern at all times within a combustion chamber irrespective of magnitude of load by a method wherein an atomizer, which is provided on the center part of a burner tile throat and equipped with multi-nozzles, is made adjustable for its position back and forth in accordance with load. CONSTITUTION:The atomizer 2, which is provided on the center part of a burner tile throat 1, is equipped at its tip with a large number of jetting holes, from which fuel is jetted out radially with a certain spread of jetting angle. The fuel jetted out of the atomizer 2 is burnt by being supplied with combustion air led through the throat 1. In this case, the atomizer 2 can be slide back and forth so as to locate its tip at the proper position with respect to the throat 1 in response to the increase and decrease of load. In case of high intensity combustion, the atomizer 2 is set at the position as illustrated in the accompaying figure (a) and in case of low intensity combustion at the position as illustrated in the figure (b) so that the tip of flame is prevented from reaching the interior of a flue 5 at high intensity combustion and the jet stream of fuel from colliding against the edge 6 of the throat part 1 at low intensity combustion. |
