Windshield for convertible passenger car

The windshield is located behind a row of seats, and is formed by a net. The net consists of an inherently rigid weave or knit of glass fibres or perhaps carbon fibres etc. which is wetted with a hardening resin. The net has a stiffened edge. The edge consists of resin-impregnated glass fibre strands. These form the connection between net and edge and a press frame. The edge is shaped for adaptation to different vehicle types. Holders, hinges etc. form integral parts of the edge. The wind shield consists of two parts (1a,b), connected by film hinges for folding-down.
