The absorbent is made by mixing 60 wt.% cupper, 20 wt.% zinc, and 20 wt.% ceramics, firing said mixture at a temperature of 1,150 deg.C, and then molding the absorbent into the desired shape. The absorbent is used for protecting transmission of a harmful electromagnetic wave toward a human body by absorbing the wave to ground, which is generated from electric-heating equipment.
