<p>A laminate produced by forming a thin film on the surface of a polymer molding by coating the same with an aqueous solution containing an alkali metal silicate having an SiO2 to M2O ratio of at least 2 (by mole, M representing an alkali metal) and a silane coupling agent. The molding is excellent in gas-barrier properties and especially suitable as a packaging material. According to the process of the invention, it is possible to impart excellent gas-barrier properties to polymer moldings in a simplified operation.</p> |
