Use of anti-histidine antibodies in immunoassays

The use of anti-His antibodies (Ab), or their derived variable regions, in the following processes is new: (a) detection in ELISA and blotting techniques or in cell-biological and immuno-histochemical methods; (b) detection, monitoring and targeting of genetically manipulated cells (for purposes of identification, tracking, isolation or destruction); (c) detection and characterisation of endogenous His-rich proteins, tissues, prim. cells or cell lines, also for determn. of sex; (d) purificn. of His-rich, natural or recombinant proteins.
