The machine comprises a carrier (7), and at least one arm (6) mounted on the carrier to rotate around a first pivot axis (25). A spindle bearing unit (5) is mounted to swivel on the arm. The spindle has a swivel axis (21) spatially at right-angles to the first pivot axis, and a tool spindle (3) fitted in the spindle bearing unit to rotate around a second pivot axis (17). The second pivot axis is located spatially at right-angles to the swivel axis of the spindle unit. The tool spindle is longitudinally movable by a tailstock sleeve (13).
