摘要

A board-like insulating element of mineral (esp. glass) wool has (a) a main section (2) with fibres (4) parallel to the board plane (E); and (b) at least one adjoining edge section (6) with fibres (8) perpendicular to the board plane (E). Also claimed are an element which forms an intermediate product for prodn. of the above insulating element, and a process for prodn. of the above insulating element from the above intermediate product.
