Mould for successive injections

In this procedure, articles may be moulded from several plastic components in the mould cavity of a moulding tool. The first region of the article is moulded from a plastic component; a second region of the article is then moulded onto the first region by injection of a second plastic component. Having injected the first cavity, a second cavity is opened, maintaining the mould itself closed, and the second plastic is injected into this second cavity. The procedure is original in that the injection of the second plastic component takes place through the first region. Also claimed is a device to carry out the process, and an injection moulded vessel cover.
