The gang saw has three, four, or more saw blades (22,42) which are laterally adjustable, and independently of each other, in the saw frames (12). The saw blades may be adjustable in pairs dependent of each other, whereby the saw blades of one pair are laterally adjustable at the same speed in opposite directions. Saw blade ends with adjustment facilities (28,44,48,52) acting at right angles to the saw blades are brought detachably into engagement. The saw blades may be brought into engagement selectively with different adjustment facilities.
