Document verification system with server subsystem

The document processing system includes two main subsystems and a communication network (103). The first subsystem (101) stores the information which relates to a document. The information includes both humanly readable and machine readable information. The second subsystem (102) receives the document and interprets the machine readable information. The second subsystem contacts the first subsystem to verify the validity of the document. The communication network is connected to both subsystems in order to exchange information between the two.
