Fixing asbestos fibres and consolidating asbestos-binder building material

摘要

The process concerns the prodn. of a relatively environmentally- friendly intermediate to prevent asbestos fibre emissions from asbestos-binder building material with a coating compsn. with a view to thermal/mechanical conversion and utilisation of the material. A partly inert intermediate is made from the building waste using organic cpds. with good penetration, which form a hardened coating fixed to the fibres. This increases the permissible mechanical and chemical stress on the material and allows handling without problems until it is used as sec. raw material for chemical-thermal conversion processes and the prodn. of a valuable material.
