PURPOSE:To install an air conditioner in a room of a relatively small area, such as the one of a hospital or an apartment house, to lessen the area occupied by the air conditioner, to introduce outdoor air into the room and to make the air conditioner bring about a comfortable temperature distribution regularly and very economically. CONSTITUTION:The air conditioner is formed of a total enthalpy heat exchanger unit (1) having a construction wherein an outdoor-air introducing air passage A and an exhaust air passage B are formed in a crossing shape inside a machine and a blower 6 for intake and a blower 7 for exhaust are provided in the air passages A and B respectively and wherein a total enthalpy heat exchanger 8 is provided between the two air passages A and B and of an intake-blowing unit (2) having a construction wherein air passages C and D are formed in a crossing shape inside a machine so that they are connected and made to communicate with each other. The total enthalpy heat exchanger unit (1) is provided outdoors and the intake-blowing unit (2) indoors, and the two machines are connected back to back integrally by a connecting pipe 5. |
