The invention is a method of producing glass fibre in which melted glass is fed into a hollow, rotating body and is then forced out through openings in the circumference of the body by means of centrifugal force. Outside the circumference, it is elongated to fine fibres by means of a gas blower or the like. The method is unique in that outside of or below the body (3, 4) with its openings, there is at least one inductive heater (6) that is supplied with a frequency of 50-4000 Hz.<IMAGE> |
