<p>A reinforcing wire having a fusible layer which melts by the action of heat is made to fuse with a coil wire when threaded together with the coil wire through a guide. The coil wire and reinforcing wire which have passed through the guide are gripped together in a chuck, and hot air is blown onto them from a hot air blower while the chuck is pulling them out from the guide. The reinforcing wire fuse to the coil wire so as to strengthen the coil wire. A reinforced portion of any desired length can be obtained by cutting the reinforcing wire with a cutter. The reinforced portion of the coil wire thus formed has no loop produced by bending the wire. If it is used to strengthen the part of the coil wire wound onto the end of a coil, therefore, there is no decrease of breakdown voltage or damage to the coil wire even if part of the reinforced portion is wound onto the coil, and the durability and reliability of the coil are thereby improved. <IMAGE></p> |
