FIELD: processing of basalt. SUBSTANCE: basalt rock is fed into melting zone and is heated there at 1605-1700 C. Thus prepared melt is fed for homogenization. Melt being homogenized and having viscosity more 501 poise is fed for production of fiber. Said production is carried out by elongation which takes place at velocity more 4505 m/min. EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method.
