PURPOSE: To form each plane on the same line without displacing, by providing the first/second support surfaces tilted to each other, and bringing plane into contact with each support surface, so as to surely fix a spherical unit in a positioning condition between each support surface. CONSTITUTION: After a spherical unit W is mounted between the first/second support surfaces 14, 19, the spherical unit W is fixed to a fixed block, 12 by a spherical use stopper 21. The spherical unit W is ground by a grinding wheel 3. In this way, in the spherical unit W, in a position of the same angle to an angle α4 between the first support surface 14 tilted at an angle smaller than 90 deg. from a plane F3 and the second support surface 19 tilted at an angle larger than this support surface 14, further between the plane F3 and a plane F1, a plane F5 having an angle α3 is formed. The spherical unit W, by bringing the plane F1, F3 into contact with the first/second support surfaces 14, 19 tilted to each other, is surely fixed between the first/second support surfaces 14, 19. As a result, the plane F5, without displacing a position, can be formed on the same line to the planes F1, F3. |
