PURPOSE: To provide a new propolis extract useful for maintaining or promoting the health of a man, and further to provide a method for producing the same. CONSTITUTION: A propolis extract is a jelly-like substance low in the content of flavonoid compounds, and has an antiallergic activity. The propolis extract is extracted from propolis by a supercritical fluid extraction method under conditions comprising an extraction pressure of 100-400kgf/cm<2> , an extraction temperature of 35-80 deg.C, a separation pressure of 50-70kgf/cm<2> , and a separation temperature of 35-80 deg.C. |
