MANUFACTURE OF TAPERED STEEL SHEET

PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing a tapered steel sheet by which the steel sheet is tapered from the tip to the rear end part. CONSTITUTION: At the time of giving a taper to the steel sheet 10 by changing thicknesses on the outlet side of each stand 1-7, the target amount of thickness change on the outlet side of each stand 1-7 is preliminarily decided. The variation of rolling load at each stand equivalent to this target amount of thickness change is determined. The rolling reduction at each stand is successively corrected by the correction of reduction which is calculated based on this variation of rolling load and the rolling of the steel sheet is executed.
